Buggin’ Out

Lots of kids go bonkers for bugs. But if you’re like me, you’d rather not be collecting those winged suckers in your house, thankyouverymuch. You can keep nature outside and still enable your child to explore the intricacies of living things, with the Butterfly Alphabet Poster.

Lots of kids go bonkers for bugs. But if you’re like me, you’d rather not be collecting those winged suckers in your house, thankyouverymuch. You can keep nature outside and still enable your child to explore the intricacies of living things, with the Butterfly Alphabet Poster.

The print features the entire alphabet (plus numerals 1 to 9) as found in actual butterfly and moth wings. It took Smithsonian naturalist and photographer, Kjell Sandved, nearly twenty-five years to capture the full collection–now that’s dedication. The result is a stunning poster that both you and your critter-crazy kid will love.

And the butterflies continue to soar free. Outside. Where they belong. –Nancy
