I have come to love looking forward to my Foodzie tasting box at the beginning of each month, and all the little nibbles and gourmet noshes contained therein. A few weeks back, I opened my box to such an amazing treat: Mini cupcakes in very adult flavors.

I had heard of Kyotofu cupcakes,
because they get a lot of buzz around NYC, but I had never bitten into
one of these moist little gourmet cakes until just now. Subtle, delicate
flavors like Matcha Green Tea and Miso Chocolate are a welcome change from that traditional cupcake flavor: Lots and Lots of Sugar. While I haven’t tried the Chocolate Souffle, that, by all accounts, is the one to beat.

They come so beautifully packaged, they’re an awesome hostess gift or
happy birthday token for a friend far away. As long as that friend is
over 18, with a refined palate. Hold the Betty Crocker frosting. –Liz

  1. They look absolutely delicious! As mentioned above, a perfect hostess gift! Definitely on my “Must Try” list.

  2. I’m fairly new to Cool Moms and love the Cool Mom Tech too! I like this post because not only do I get to learn great things about being a mom, you include great things about being a grown up (often that side of things is forgotten). Thanks for all the great hints, laughs and leads on wonderful products!
