Home is where the art is

It’s pretty clear by now that we’re going through a major handmade embroidery hoop phase, especially when the designs are smart and modern and not too twee. So I love the clean, geometric designs from Sara K Benning on Etsy. This It’s Good to Be Home embroidery hoop art is such a sweet thought. I could see it as a lovely Mother’s Day gift, something unexpected for a new baby, or even a surprise over your returning college student’s bed.

There are some other designs in the shop so look around.  Every one feels so clean and contemporary, making use of white space that’s so rarely seen in this kind of craft. I’m already imagining just where one might go in my own home.
